I. Frame process (core structure)

Steel material

Priority is given to high-strength steel (e.g. Q690 or higher), especially for load-bearing parts such as beams and longitudinal beams, and the thickness (usually 14-16mm) and tensile strength of the steel need to be checked.

Inferior steel is easy to deform or crack, you can ask the manufacturer to provide material report.

Welding process

Weld quality: Observe whether the weld is uniform and free of porosity/slag, fish scale welding or robot welding is more reliable.

Full weld vs. spot weld: critical stress parts (such as suspension support, around the traction pin) must be fully welded to avoid false welding.

Antirust treatment: After welding, sand blasting is required to remove rust, and then apply antirust primer to avoid rusting of welded seams.

Structural design

Whether the longitudinal beam adopts “variable cross-section” design (thicker at the front and thinner at the back) to reduce the weight and ensure the strength at the same time.

Check the distance between the beams (usually 400-600mm), the distance is too large to reduce the torsional resistance.

Second, the suspension system process

Check whether the reed is stacked tightly, whether the center bolt is firm, poor quality reeds are easy to break.

Balance shaft should be chrome-plated or quenched to avoid early wear.

Air suspension

Airbag brand (e.g. Firestone, Contitech) and line sealing, air leakage will lead to body tilt.

Bracket welding needs to be reinforced to avoid long-term bumps and cracks.

Third, axle and braking process

Axle

Choose well-known brands (such as BPW, Fuhua), check whether the axle tube is seamless steel pipe, low-quality axles are easy to deformation.

Whether the bearing seat is with oil seal and whether the lubrication is sufficient.

Brake System

Brake shoe material (asbestos/semi-metal?). Check whether the brake drums have heat dissipation grooves.

Whether the ABS piping layout is neat, whether the sensor is fixed firmly.

IV. Compartment/flatbed process

Plate and skeleton

Compartment: thickness of corrugated board (usually 0.8-1.2mm), spacing of skeleton (≤400mm), whether rivets/bolts are anti-loosening.

Flat plate: thickness of pattern plate (usually 5-8mm), whether side beams are reinforced.

Sealing

The compartment car checks whether the rubber strip is intact, whether the door gap is even (≤5mm) to avoid rainwater infiltration.

Whether the welding place of the railings of the warehouse car is polished and smooth to prevent the cargo from scratching.

Fifth, the details of the process (easy to ignore but critical)

Electrical wiring

Whether the wiring harness is casing protection, plug waterproof (IP67 grade), to avoid short circuit.

Whether the lamps and lanterns are fixed with shock-resistant bracket, ordinary screws are easy to loosen.

Paint and anti-corrosion

Total thickness of primer + topcoat ≥120μm, check whether the edges and welds are covered completely.

Salt spray test report (≥500 hours qualified).

Attachment Installation

Whether the legs, toolboxes, etc. are fixed with high-strength bolts, ordinary welding is easy to crack.
